The new series “Renaissance after Covid-19” uses diverse visual metaphors as signs of a change and hope in time of darkness. This mixed media work, depicts a fragmented upper body of a woman floating in still space. This particular sculpture, created in a thin layer of clay anchored to a wooden panel, stirs up many opposite sentiments. Delicate yet dynamic, gloomy yet soothing: it sends a powerful message about a state of rebirth post Covid-19.
